  • Monica was an excellent guide and so knowledgeable! Not only were the castles amazing but the views of the countryside along the way were breathtaking. Snacks and drinks on the bus were a welcomed surprise. I highly recommend.
  • The castles are beautiful, but for the price this tour didn’t add much value. You could rent a car and buy your tickets separately and have just as good of a time. Speaking of tickets- unless you get the “premium” tour, entry tickets for the castles must be purchased separately. The website specifically says not to purchase these tickets on your own; they want you to buy from the tour guide on your bus so it’s part of the group purchase. However, the tour company charges more than the ticket face value- they charge 10€ for Linderhoff (actually 9€) and 20€ for Neuschwanstein (14€). The tickets state in the small print that the face value INCLUDES all VAT and fees. We asked the guide about this and he mumbled something about admin expenses. So I guess the tour company pockets the rest. It’s not a huge deal, but considering how much we pay just for the bus and that they don’t disclose their extra charges (while insisting you not buy the tickets yourself), it feels shady. Also, it was a double-decker bus and we sat towards the back of the top level and couldn’t hear anything the tour guide was saying over the mic. Several riders complained and requested he turn up the volume but the guide just shrugged. So whatever benefit you would get from having an actual guide was lost on about half of the bus. Would have given 2 stars but it was a safe ride and they offered great beer for only 2€, so they get 3 stars.
  • Loved learning about the history of Ludwig and the castles. Our tour guide Monica was amazing and very knowledgeable!
  • Well where do we start!! It was like you were going back in time when you first see the castle. Simply spectacular. Amazed at all the intricate details of the flooring, ceiling, chandeliers. We took the horse & cart up the hill which was interesting & the walk to the entrance was fairly easy. We took the option of walking back. There is so much to take in during the virtual tour & highly recommend doing the tour
  • This by far was my favorite tour I did while I was in Munich. I paid for the upgrade for the VIP tour, and I am so glad I did! The bus that we were on was very nice and the tour guide and bus driver were also very nice and knowledgeable. The castles were breathtaking, and it was all just amazing to see in person. I would highly recommend this tour!
  • Wonderful the guide was very good, the trip was nice, the bus was very comfortable. I really recommend this company. Very easy to meet the guide .
  • Most amazing castle I've ever seen. This is exactly what I think of when I imagine a fairy tale castle of legend. Plus there was a cool duck
  • Our guide Monika was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were taken care of the entire day. There was plenty of time at both castles, for food and souvenirs. We went with our college aged daughters and all 5 of us had a wonderful day
  • View from castle was breathtaking. Interior in both castle and palace was exquisite and beautiful. Tour guide did a great job on sharing the history of these places.
  • We took friends on the Castle Tour as the easiest way for non-drivers to visit Linderhof and Neuschwanstein in one day. Guide Hanae and driver Gesim navigated us smoothly and charmingly through the visit, with clear, practical instructions on the complexities of getting up and down to/from Neuschwanstein plus lots of background history, information on Bavarian customs and tips on what to do in Munich. Their good humour more than made up for the grey, rainy weather. Many thanks!
  • Excellent day trip to the castles. Despite the rainy and chilly weather it was still a wonderful experience. It is quite a haul up the mountain to the big castle. Roughly 1-1/2 miles up about a 30 percent grade. Not a hike for the unfit.
  • Neuschwanstein Castle is amazing, the countryside is beautiful, and the tour guide was fabulous — with beer on the bus!! Highly recommended.
  • Booked the premium package since that was all that was available on the date I wanted to go. The bus was very nice - coffee and snacks etc. Our tour guide was informative and the narration was non stop, to the point that I wished it was more interactive. The castle and palace were well worth the long day trip. The tour was well organized and stress free!
  • The bus was comfy and we could bring on our own food (non-smelly items, please, said the tour guide) and drink. Beautiful drive to/from the castle while listening to some interesting history of the region, castles and Ludwig II, and even current info on Munich from our lovely guide, Monica. Plenty of time at each castle. LOTS of walking and many stairs at Neuschwanstein, so be prepared with good footwear! Definitely take the time to visit Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge) as the views and photo-ops are stunning. We were lucky to have perfect early autumn weather so the views were especially gorgeous.
  • A well organised trip. There was just enough time in each place. Both palaces were stunning and our guide was clear and helpful
  • An absolutely magical day! Beautiful countryside traveled through with a fantastic tour guide (thank you Hannah!). Great narration with lots of entertaining stories. Highly recommend this full day trip!
  • Excellent tour. Bus was comfortable, driver and guide were great. The bus had a restroom, and the there was also soft drinks, water and Bavarian beer available on-board for sale.
  • Everything was great. Organization , the bus has phone charges, Caroline was great as a story teller. The castles were amazing and the inside tours were short and sweet and very informative. I usually get so bored listing to long tours and these were perfect 20-25 mins ones with a lot of moving .
  • Great tour guide, with plenty of time allowed at both Linderhof and Neuschwanstein. Would definitely recommend this tour.
  • We had a great time on this tour! Our tour guide was very informative and entertaining, the buses were comfortable, and you had plenty of time at both stops. The view is great on the way so be sure to get there early enough to have your pick of seats on the bus!
  • Fantastic tour all around, from the guide, to the well-organized schedule and the incredible castles experience! Hanae was our lovely guide and did an amazing job. She was very friendly, professional, accommodating, and full of knowledge on King Ludwig II. I felt a bit lightheaded going up the mountain roads for our first stop and later asked if there was a seat near the front I could switch to for the remainder of the trip. Hanae and the driver were so kind and attentive to ensure I was comfortable, offering me other seat options, and Hanae later checked on me twice to make sure I was doing okay for the rest of the day. Truly so kind! 5 stars for the castles themselves, Hanae, the driver and this tour!
  • I highly recommend this tour. Caroline was such a great tour guide. She gave us detailed instructions on what was going to happen on each tour stop. She also talked to us on the ride and provided us with so much historical information. I liked the Linderhof castle better because the grounds were so beautiful and you were able to see the majority of the inside of the castle. The best part of the Neuschwanstein Castle tour is the view from the bridge. I definitely recommend taking the shuttle option to get to the castle because the walk up the hill is long. We drove through Oberammergau, but were not able to stop because of the Passion Play. The town looked really cute, so we were a little bummed that we didn’t get to stop there.
  • Very nice surroundings and view from the palace n castle. Good and informative tour given by Grayline tour guide , Hanee.
  • What can I say this was an excellent tour of the castles. We had an excellent tour guide she was so kind. She was full of information, lots of knowledge, history of the area, and the castles. This is well worth the ticket price, nice bus ride, scenery was gorgeous. Was a long day but was worth it, that's what it is all about. To take in the scenery, the culture, and made some new friends on the way.
