  • Just nice to ride around. Sights were beautiful. Didn't have to do much walking and attendants were helpful.
  • Great experience, we took the 48hr hop on hop off bus experience. We did the whole ride the first day and walked all over the city the second day.
  • The staff who were at the station to change our tickets(at 11:21am) was very rude, moving us from left to right at the station, without explaining what was happening. When I asked and told him that it did not seem normal to me such behavior and no quality of his service, he said that he doesn't care. Very disappointed.
  • They packed people into the busses until every seat is filled. It was 32 degrees that day and we had to ask the employees to put on the air conditioning. I paid extra for a tour of the Roman Colosseum and when we got to the location I was told I needed to be on another bus for that - but I was given no other information and they just left me there. I then had to walk almost 6 miles to the train station to return to my hotel after 2 of the busses did not let me "hop on." This was a horrible experience and I suggest to anyone considering this company to find another way to see Rome.
  • My main concern was that it states that the tour is around 120 min, but if you make a whole round it lasts less than an hour with long stops at some point. Also, for such a historical city as Rome is, there is too much music instead of information loaded on the audio guide. Very pity and waste of money for such a limited service.
  • We were sold a combo tour for bud and colleseum. Turns out the earliest bus wasn’t early enough to get us to our tour on time. We called customer service and was told to expect a refund, so we booked another tour through the company and attended that tour. Then, we received an email that we were getting no refund.
  • Very disappointing. It was extremely challenging to find the bus stop locations. Additionally, the recorded audio was poorly timed end it was basically just to drive around Rome, not seeing any real sites except for passing by the Colosseum and several churches.
  • I booked the 48 hour tour with my family. The first day was arrival to Rome. By the time we waited in the smoldering heat for almost an hour and got to the bus, we discovered that it was the last bus of the day and we couldn’t even return to the point where we started. The second day, the lines were long at our stop (Santa Maria Maggore), in very hot unshaded sun, and not enough buses coming by. When we finally got to the bus, there were no space for us and we were told to wait for the next bus in the same miserable conditions. We already waited for almost an hour in the line. We ended walking to the Coliseum. Bottom line, we ended with a partial tour on day one, and we could not get on the bus on day two. ThisI has been a waste of money and I wish I never signed up.
  • Good information, easy to use, head phones were provided. Unfortunaltey it was extremely hot, which nade the experience quite uncomfortable. There was air conditioning on the first level, althought the view from above is much better, so weather permitting changes the trip! The loading/unloading procedure seemed to comsune alot of the time just sitting there. We were in a group of 6 and learned after 1 person wanted to get off to do their own thing we had to do everything together, because of the way the ticket was issued, which was disappointing. Also, I wish the operator would have intervened when we were being heckled by gypies to buy face mask, stating we need one to get on the bus, which wasn't true, menawhile the operator seemed to be in on it. Overall it is a great way to cover alot of territory!
  • Everything you'd except from a hop on hop off. When there was an issue with our tour that was bundled with the bus. The employees did an absolutely incredible job fixing the issue. Viator was not nearly as helpful so Bravo to the hostesses for they're determination in getting our issue resolved.
  • Although all our tours with Viator on this trip were great, this we found to be one of our better ones. This was due to the history, and information provided by our guide. Our guide was great and knowledgeable, but the scene and elements of the tour were fabulous.
  • Good amount of stops, by the top attractions. Shame it starts at 9am, as we had to arrange additional transport to early tours. But lovely welcoming staff, would recommend.
  • We have used this type of transportation before in other European cities but this time the closest bus stop was a pretty good walk from our Hotel and seemed to stop in places along the route that required a bit of a walk to get anywhere tourist areas.
  • Very boring tour. Did not stop at hardly if major sites and showed way too few. Other companies are far better
  • Great. Made it easy to get around Rome at an affordable price. Highly recommend to anyone wanting an easy trip around Rome
  • The name of the tour is misleading. I expected to sit in a bus and go around the city and get a little history/background info re places the bus passes by. Instead, I was told that I am visiting the inside of the St. Peter's church. The meeting point information was misleading too because it said the meeting point is around the area at St. Peter's church but actually the meeting point was inside the church. The info stated to come to the tour point 15 minutes prior to the time of meeting however I had to go through security and there was a big line to get inside. It took me 50 minutes to finally get inside. All the other tours I took, my tour guide met us before the designated place to visit and they had the tickets to get in and we skipped the line but for this ride everything just worked differently without adequate info or explanation. The whole experience was upsetting except being inside the church and getting the tour guide info.
  • I like most hop on hop off tours. Rome is such a large city that it takes a long time to go between stops and they seemed to wait a long time at each stop. It was very hot so sitting up top was uncomfortable but the view is better
  • Plenty of buses. Masks required if you sit downstairs on the bus, which makes no sense because every venue is packed without people wearing masks. I wish the buses dropped off closer to venues. Even using the bus to get to the various locations, we averaged 7-9 miles a day walking.
  • Marta was very helpful. The group did not wait in line at all. Everything was very smooth and a spectacular day!
  • No information was sent on meeting locations or stop locations to get on the bus which resulted in us missing our coliseum tour. Once we did finally connect with the bus it was over crowded and we could not get our headphones to work with no other seats available for a few stops
  • This was overall a good experience! The bus operator was friendly and helpful, the recorded guide was informative about each of the stops and locations we were passing along the way. Some confusion about who the tour operator was and which bus to get on. This tour bus is co-operated with another different bus. We ended up getting on a different bus and were told we could get our tickets when we got off at a stop and got on the other bus. This worked out fine in the end - we got off at a stop and got on the other bus where we did get our tickets. It was just a bit confusing.
  • Convenient and great way to get to see the city. I recommend a closer stop to Vatican and Trevi fountain as well as Pantheon.
  • Take care which colour hop on hop off bus ticket you buy! I bought orange and it was a car crash! They only operate with 3 busses apparently and so you end up wasting limited time in this lovely city waiting around the stops. Had to buy a 2nd ticket in the end. “I love Rome” was much better. Not sure you need more than a day though as most sites are close together.
  • Excellent value for money and a great way to get around rome. Commentary was informative and humorous.
