  • We entered the tour at the Tower of London after being hassled by other companies trying to get us to get on their bus. They were very aggressive. It started to rain so the people on top of the bus came below and it became very crowded with very little ventilation. It took us a while to figure out where we were by using the map they provide and the pre-recorded audio kept going in-and-out. We had no idea it was a 3.5 hour tour so we got off at Piccadilly, shopped a little and caught a taxi back to where we were staying. It was just too claustrophobic for us.
  • My husband and I really enjoyed seeing London on our Bigbus tour! The prerecorded commentaries were witty and informative. The English pop music played in between locations was fun and entertaining! Only suggestion would be to make sure the drivers don’t take off before people make it up the stairs to get to their seats. That part felt a bit scary like you could fall as the bus was moving. Other than that it was great!
  • You wear headphones while you’re traveling in the bus, which is fine, however, they don’t announce the stop numbers. The drivers are not friendly at all. We waited for 30 minutes at one of the bus stops and the bus never showed up. When we asked about it, the attendant said it would be another 20 minutes. We wound up walking. I would definitely suggest another hop on-hop off bus company, they have several in London.
  • A wonderful way to experience the buzz of London and see key points in a short space of time. Very efficient and easy to navigate.
  • Sunday in london septemper 24/23...all stops have a very big problems....what happen? Sorry....but all stops in turistic places had problems this day....the big bus only said all time "we have a problems but is didnt our mistake" If you dont have a very good service why so you have this service in this specific day?
  • Fun Ch yum I'm cub cub h on one is I know on HBO Go from bill k cc bunk k He I'm hi I'm cub have UN both I on
  • Planned on starting at Marble Arch, but the pick up stop not marked well. Two vendors were selling tickets nearby yet didn't know where bus stopped. We were given so many wrong directions around the square, that it was getting utterly ridiculous. FINALLY, we found the stop..got on and went upstairs. The driver was the most unpleasant one ever on these types of buses...have been on them in Dublin, Washington DC, Savannah, GA, San Diego, CA, and Bostom, MA. Will never take a taped tour again. On the plus side, we worked our way to the front upstairs under cover as it started to rain. We stayed on and it still is a great way to get a feel for the city..
  • Twenty years ago my wife and I and another couple toured London on an open top bus with a fantastic guide that provided humor and excellent descriptions of the entire route. He actually pointed at the various buildings and other points of interest so we could in fact locate them. This Big Bus tour was a great disappointment. It only provided a recorded description along the tour resulting in being unable to locate or see most of the sights. Okay, yes, you can't miss the Tower Bridge as you pass under it, but mostly it was a simple ride through the city. Don't bother.
  • The best part was the river cruise. And the worst part was the protests and marches which effectively closed down a large portion of the tour routes.
  • I used this service in connection with the Gocity app, would not do this again if I need the bus more than 1 day. I purchased a 3 day gocity pass, however, the bus was only 1 day. Trying to locate bus stops became a scavenger hunt. Looking at the website trying to locate a stop outside of Kensington Palace, was difficult. We did not see signage for where stop 36 should have been on the blue line so we kept walking to find stop 37. We found signage however it is very small. When we got there we met another couple from Massachusetts that was equally frustrated. We bonded over the difficulties in locating bus stops and how long the wait is for a bus to arrive. Overall, I do enjoy these services, it just needs better signage and keep the stops updated on maps and website. Thanks
  • My 23-year old daughter and I really enjoyed this tour. It was easy to hop on and hop off the bus. The audio guide was very entertaining. We took the river cruise as well. The guide from the boat that narrated the tour was excellent. I highly recommend this tour.
  • The hop on hop off was bad. Could have walked it faster. The boat cruise was great! Wish we had just booked that!
  • It was to get around in a city I had never been to before and have the history of the place as well. I thought the staff were extremely helpful which made my visit just great!
  • Our live guide Peter was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about London and gave advanced notice when a photo opportunity was coming around the corner.
  • Love this tour … we had seats on the top ( though took several stops to get up there as it is the most popular place to be).. could see all the sights … easy booking … access … and a good deal for the $$
  • Was not able to locate pickup points for the bus. The river cruise was nice but took a taxi to get there. Felt I wasted my money.
  • Drivers are friendly and always ready to help. The route takes you by everything you would want to see.
  • I love hop on hop off busses because I think it helps to get a feel for the area. Big bus London has Easy to find bus stops. They take time in front of major spots to be sure everyone has a chance to see and take a photo. We also did big bus in Paris and will do it again in Rome. Very worth it.
  • The tour was okay, the audio tour you plug into is not very informative. They left us stranded in east London when it started to rain no buses for over 45 minutes. They had 4 private tours go by. I’m sure they mad more money from those, but 45 minute wait is ridiculous. We had several buses come by from other companies multiple times. I recommend checking other companies. The other companies were less crowded and some had live tour guides.
  • We met Sid at Paddington stop. What a wonderful man, he really added joy to our Journey. We found Big Bus Tours wonderful, friendly helpful staff everywhere, nice drivers (especially Wesley) , comfortable, informative, efficient , value for money. A 2 day pass is worth it. Thanks Big Bus
  • Mostly disappointed , apart from the river cruise which was the unexpected bonus. The river cruise 5 stars, but this review will be about the disappointing bus tour. We boarded at London Tower which seemed to be the most busy of all the stops with multiple touring companies. To finally get on a bus we had to push our way on…it felt like rush hour commuting rather than a tour! For the first 30 minutes we were on the bottom at the back where you couldn’t see anything…we strategically made our way closer to the steps leading up at each spot until we managed to score three seats upstairs…of course they were all single seats but by this time we just felt fortunate to get upstairs. But, once we were on the e dates not hop off anywhere as who knew when we’d manage to get back on! So, we were comically “trapped”. As one other reviewer said we seemed to be doing loops around the same sights but coming at them from different streets. My grown-up daughter fell asleep and my husband didn’t bother with the recorded tour earplugs. I did listen to the whole commentary which was okay, and gave me a sense of where we were. Likely the tour is better in the off-season? It wasn’t terrible, but wasn’t great either.
  • Myself and my Dad did the London Hop on Hop Off bus tour with Top View on Tuesday last 19th September. We were very lucky to meet Dan from Kerry while waiting for our bus to arrive at Victoria. My 92 year old Dad was very curious had several questions waiting to be answered, and Dan took them all in his stride. Although Dan was only traveling a few stops to meet his own bus ,he took that time to make us feel very welcome. He made sure before he left our new tour guide looked after us. We had a very enjoyable tour lasting 2 and a half hours . We were in London for 3 days and this was one of our highlights. We are home now and he is still talking about Dan .
  • Convenient pick up and drop off locations to the major tourist attractions. Pay attention to the direction of travel so that you don't travel in the opposite direction on the loop routes.
  • Great way of visiting landmarks of London. I strongly recommend you purchase two days rather than one. If day one rains, you can still enjoy day two.
