  • Best part was managing to skip the queue. But very very crowded and very little time to view. But guess is better in a tour, as at least get some information.
  • The vatican museum is the only one that charges an entrance ticket itself costs 17 Euros, we were charged 81 Euro per person under the false pretense that St Peters Basilica and Sistine Chapel had an entrance fee as well. They also advertise headphones/audio phones but utilize the ones from the vatican entrance which are faulty. It was complete chaos the guide would just continue on through without any notion as to where the rest of the group was. I would return but do this on my own without a tour.
  • We were very disappointed not to have more time in the Vatican Museum and see more. We had little comment on Sistine Chapel (outside it) and were left outside St. Peter's by the guide, so little information about that either. Another time we'd avoid the guided tour and get an audio guide which could be used in the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's.
  • We went to the meeting place behind the Pantheon and us along with 15 other people waited a half hour for our guide to show. I finally got the local tour guide on the phone and he informed me he was out of business and I should contact Viator. Viator refunded our purchase price but we were unable to visit any of the places on our tour as all were sold out. The next available tour is the day after we leave Rome. I am VERY disappointed that Viator did not do a better job verifying that the tour operator was able to provide the tour. We came from the United States so this isn’t something we can easily come back for.
  • It was a lot of walking, I felt it the guide should have the speaker guide and tickets readily available, instead of making us wait.
  • Our guide, Patricia, was over 30 minutes late due to scheduling errors on the company’s end. She sped us through the museum tour so we didn’t have any time to stop and take pictures or read about the exhibits, and she also consistently ran way ahead of the group and never stopped to make sure everyone was still with us. We had headphones that kept falling out of our ears and it was very difficult at multiple points of the tour to understand what she was saying due to lack of enunciation. She didn’t even enter into St. Peter’s Basilica with us. She left the tour after pointing us at the entry. It was a waste of money and we definitely didn’t get what we paid for. I would never recommend this company to anyone traveling to Rome.
  • Disappointed that we missed visiting St Peters Basilica due to losing the tour group. It was very busy but our guide kept moving without checking. After checking with vatican staff we realised this happens all the time and our guide did say he usually lost a few! Very chaotic!!!
  • Crowds. The overcrowding throughout the visit overwhelmed the experience of visiting an iconic precinct that is The Vatican. Seems to me the Catholic Church is making a fortune from this exercise and it couldn’t care less about the ambience for visitors. Akin to being herded through cattle or sheep yards. Appalling.
  • The guide was difficult to understand for it being an English speaking tour and we never made to St. Peter’s! I was so looking forward to seeing that, once in a lifetime experience I missed out on.
  • It was an unforgettable experience! Our tour guide, Monica was amazing! We had quite large group but she knows when someone is missing. She was very thorough with the information. I’m more than satisfied and definitely recommend .
  • Tour guide did a great job given how many people were in the Museum…. Very knowledgeable about the art and history. Fun tour!
  • The guide done a very good job explaining the the stories behind the painting and art works of michelangelo .this was done prior to entering the Vatican and the sistine chapel .unfortunately once inside it was overcrowded which spoilt the experience.
  • Our presenter was extremely well informed about the artists and the wonderful paintings and sculptures at the Vatican!
  • The Sistine Chapel was a breathtaking experience even with the short time there to be able to admire it was surreal. The tour guide was also friendly and informative throughout the whole tour
  • I wasn't happy with my guided experience at the Vatican. If I knew how it was going to turn out I would've booked a private guide or just go on our own. I booked a tour for 6 adults for a specific time ...12:30pm . I was just starting my vacation, so needless to say I was not really checking my emails. But by luck on the day of our tour , I checked my e-mail to see a message from Viator that our tour time had been changed to 10:30am....it was around 8:20am when I saw that,...so needless to say my first vacation day started with stress. I thought we were not going to make the 10:30am tour,,,,we had calculated our wake up time ...with having in mind to be at the meeting point at 12pm not 10am. Then i had to reach out to my family who were staying in different hotels to let them know, hurry up, wake up ...they changed the time and we need be there way sooner than planned.. Anyhow, by miracle we just make it on time to the meeting point, but once the tour started, our audio system wasn't even working ...we would hear two words and then nothing ....and 5 minutes later one word and then nothing. I was focusing more on not loosing the guide ( who by the way had a stick but no colored scarf on it, so we don't' loose him) than enjoying the actual art in the Vatican. More stress than anything....yes I got to see the Vatican but my overall experience was not good.
  • Property was amazing. Unfortunately time spent outside in the sun talking and showing diagrams and posters was way too long. It could have been at least an hour shorter. Unfortunately our guide was very hard to understand and I feel we missed a lot.
  • This was a great way to see the highlights of the Vatican. The place is jam packed and so the tour gets you front of the line access. We were moving the whole time, so it didn't feel like we were waiting in line at all. Be prepared for being around a lot of people, but that's just the nature of the beast. Our guide, Rudy, was funny and informative. Everyone gets a little ear piece so you can hear what he's saying, and he pointed out all the highlights along the way.
  • My Lord, where do I begin. The Vatican was indescribable. Our guide Olga was obviously extremely well educated about everything… I must admit I got a little lost at times with so many dates and names of popes… but still amazing..!! The paintings, the statues, the tapestries. So much beauty.
  • St Peter’s basilica was fantastic as was our guide . However the over crowding some what ruined the experience. I would recommend to skip the museum and just do St peters
  • Busy place, was really pleased to have had fast track. The ear phone was useful and very informative. A lot of walking. Great trip
  • St Paul’s basilica was awe inspiring would have been 5 stars but the whole place was heaving with people in the uk this would have been considered seriously over booked we had trouble keeping with our tour guide
  • The experience was ok. The check-in process was a bit chaotic with hundreds of people trying to figure out how to check in at the office without anyone outside to manage the crowd. Our tour guide was also ok. Didn’t introduce himself and just did his job. Kind of just went through the motions. The audio was hard to hear because the tour guide needed to hold the microphone up to his mouth, otherwise it was too far and his jacked and clothes would cause static on the microphone. It was totally worth skipping the line, however! And the museums, chapel, basilica, etc were all a wonder to see and experience.
  • The guide was nice and a good talker. But we were supposed to see St. Peter's Basilica as part of a 3-hour tour. (9am to noon) It was announced that the Basilica was closed this morning and so we could do it later on our own. Then, from 9am to 10am, the guide gave us a lecture (outside) about some of the history of Rome. It was like she was told to kill time. Then she took us in the Vatican Museum from 10:05am until 11:37am. So the tour went from 3 hours to 1:32. We felt cheated. We don't know why she left us early. I would definitely not recommend this tour.
  • Finding the office where tour started was horrible. Better directions and map would help. The tour was so long and crowded. WE got just 2 minutes in the CISTINE chapel and were rushed out. The tour guide was too long in explanations. AND we DID NOT enter the Basilica. The tour guide was no help. So the most important goal of visiting St. Peter's Basilica was NOT accomplished. VERY DISSPOINTED.
