Children must be booked with parents in the same booking. You do not have to book a separate ticket for a child

Every airline has their own policy, but all major US carriers operating in and out of United States has same policy ie., Child age must be less than 12 year's for entire journey. If child age exceeds 12 years on return portion of the journey, you must purchase adult ticket
